Artist Bio - Don Greene

I was born a poor black child...

Well, maybe not, but humble beginnings all the same. I really have spent my life experiencing everything that comes along — taking a greater interest in those things that fascinate me, discarding those things that don't hold my attention. I think that is why photography is ideal for me. Through this medium, which I absolutely have loved since my first camera (a Kodak monster that took 135 film), I am able to not only explore the art of photography, but all those other things which interest me.

To put myself into a category is difficult: I like Rick Sammon's approach to this. He likes to say, "I specialize in not specializing." I'll have to say that too. I love to shoot people, architecture, landscapes, macro, wildlife ... and the list goes on.
