Artist Bio - Jim Elliott
For me, photography is a two-way street. It is an outlet for the creative urge that occasionally raises its head above the ambient noise of everyday life. It is also an inlet for learning, seeing, and experiencing the world in new and sometimes exciting ways. Within every photo there is an “Ah ha!” moment waiting to be discovered. Can that feeling be discovered by seeing the subject as shapes, or angles instead of a person or a building? Can it be brought to life through the enhancement of color, or modifying a photograph to create something totally unexpected? Photography is all of this, and more. Photography is the art of both the taking of the photograph, and creating the image – an image that hopefully gives the viewer at least a brief moment of pleasure.
