Artist Bio - Edward P. Wade

When I meet a photographer for the first time, the conversation eventually leads to the question, “What do you like to shoot?”. This question usually stops me for lack of an answer. The truth is that I do not have a single subject that I like to shoot, I see myself as an eclectic photographer. When I have my camera with me, I am more observant of my surroundings, looking for subjects that could make an interesting image. I have found that there are many details in life that I would normally miss as I move from point A to point B, not taking the time to notice; time to “smell the roses”.
Photography has been a hobby and passion for me since I was a child. I started exploring photography with a Kodak Brownie camera and I have evolved with technology in creating images. From film cameras and work in the dark room, to digital cameras and computer manipulation of images, I see so many opportunities to push the envelope of my knowledge. I get great satisfaction in continued learning and by striving to reach the unreachable “perfect image”.
Thank you for viewing. I hope one of my images may bring a smile, spark a memory, or create a question.
